Rural Schools Collaborative to Hold Annual Board Meeting
RSC Board set to convene July 9th for annual meeting.
The Rural Schools Collaborative (RSC) Board of Directors will hold its annual meeting Thursday, July 9th, 2015 in Sainte Genevieve, Missouri. RSC directors are all volunteers deeply committed to the mission of the organization. RSC's genesis was a June 2014 meeting in St. Louis, where participants discussed the need for a "rural school and community" organization that "thinks otherwise." Since that time board members have been integrally involved in the planning and subsequent launch of the Collaborative.
The directors will receive updates on the inaugural Grants in Place program and the more than 35 innovative rural educators who are receiving the grants. The board will also review the proposed budget for FY2016 and elect new board officers for the upcoming year. Board members will also present on various projects, events, and proposed partnerships.
