The Rural Schools Collaborative board of directors thanked two founding board members for their three years of service at the organization's recent planning session in Kansas City, Missouri. Lavina Grandon of Arkansas' Rural Community Alliance and Dr.Andrea Evans of Illinois' Governors State University have served on the RSC board since its inception in 2014.
RSC director Gary Funk commented, "Both Andrea and Lavina had a steadfast commitment to ensuring that this new and fledgling effort got off the ground. They gave of their time, ideas and resources, and we would not be in the position we are in today without their exemplary volunteer service."
Evans and Grandon will remain in service to the RSC as organizational Advocates.
