A partnership between the Mountain Roots, an organization committed to cultivating a resilient food system in the Gunnison Valley, and the Gunnison Watershed School District allows over 2,000 K-12 students to participate in an exemplary Farm to School program.
Aiming to connect the students to the land by teaching the importance of healthy eating and sustainable cultivation, this project engages children in outdoor living classrooms and school gardens.
