The GRAD Partnership for Advancing Student Success Systems is a national initiative that encourages and supports schools to use high quality student success systems that empower schools to graduate all students ready for the future. These efforts focus on increasing student agency, belonging, and connectedness, and participating schools nationwide provide key data that highlights the effectiveness of implementing these student-centered programs at increasing postsecondary success. The GRAD Partnership is a collaborative effort involving non-profits, community organizations, school districts, and schools which seeks to co-create effective student success systems with school leaders, teachers, students, parents, and community members.
Each year, the GRAD Partnership publishes the Educating America report. This report builds on and expands the focus of over a decade of Building a Grad Nation reports from the Everyone Graduates Center and Civic, focusing on indicators such as Chronic absenteeism, Achievement metrics, High school graduation rates, and postsecondary enrollment and attainment.
Since 2022, RSC has worked closely with several of our Regional Hub Partners to launch rural pilot cohorts of participating schools in the GRAD Partnership for Advancing Student Success Systems. The Rural Schools Collaborative Rural Cohort was featured in a section of the report, highlighting the importance of investing in and working with rural schools and communities.
The report comes at a time when states and districts continue to grapple with the lingering effects of the pandemic. In addition to findings related to educational attainment, Educating America provides a series of “lessons from the field” highlighting current efforts to solve the nation’s educational challenges.
