Manchester Valley High School’s sustainability initiatives won plaudits from the United States Department of Education with designation as a Green Ribbon School. The school received the recognition due to a myriad of sustainable practices such as participating in farm to school as well as growing food in a school garden for donation to local food pantries. They also have implemented the “No Child Left Inside” model, which encourages classes to utilize the school’s outdoor classroom space.
