Rural Schools Collaborative is proud to announce our acceptance for membership to Grantmakers for Education, the largest forum in education philanthropy with nearly 300 diverse member organizations. The mission of Grantmakers for Education is to catalyze learning, foster connections, and create opportunities for members to collectively advance effective, strategic and equity-centered grantmaking in the field of education.

“Rural Schools Collaborative is on track for a cumulative $2 million dollars in outgoing rural place-based philanthropy by 2025,” says Taylor McCabe-Juhnke, RSC Executive Director. “As our capacity to give increases, we continue to do all we can to learn from others in the field, share ideas, and strengthen collaborative education grantmaking.”

The RSC team will attend the upcoming Grantmakers for Education conference this October in Minneapolis, centered on the advancement of equity and education in philanthropy.

“With the continued growth of our Regional Hub Network partners, interest in RSC’s grant programs has also continued to grow,” says Savannah Franklund, RSC Assistant Director of Operations. “Applications for our Grants in Place awards for rural classrooms recently tripled, so the opportunity to join Grantmakers for Education couldn’t have come at a better time.”

RSC extends a sincere thanks to our rural partners, hubs, donors, and board members for their continued support as the organization grows - we couldn’t do it without you!
