
Rural Schools Collaborative is thrilled to announce the appointment of Andy Mink to our Board of Directors. RSC’s Board of Directors has been crucial to our inception and development as a small, grassroots nonprofit, and Andy joins a board filled with diverse educational leaders. Andy serves as the director of Rural Initiatives with the Smithsonian Institution, a position he has held since 2023. Over a long career in education, Andy has worked for the National Humanities Center and in higher education. Andy also spent ten years as a middle school teacher in rural central Virginia. “Andy has been a lifelong advocate for rural education,” says Taylor McCabe-Juhnke, RSC Executive Director. “We are honored to welcome him onto the RSC Board of Directors, and are eager to learn from his vast experiences and perspectives.”
