Dickinson Public Schools was awarded a grant of approximately $50,000 to expand their farm to school program and increase the district’s agricultural education offerings. The grant will help the district increase local fruit and vegetable procurement for use in school cafeterias.

The district has also committed to developing a new educational pathway for K-8 students that connects to the high school’s agricultural courses, promotes healthy and local eating, and creates an action plan for sustainability. These activities will be carried out in partnership with North Dakota State University’s Cooperative Extension.
