Emily Meier is heading to Kansas to do an internship with The Land Institute.

Emily Meier is heading to the prairie, following her passion for conservation and sustainable agriculture to become an intern for the renowned The Land Institute in Kansas. Meier began assisting the Rural Schools Collaborative in the fall of 2016 and was named the Assistant Director for Community Engagement last summer.

During that time Emily has advanced the work of RSC by professionalizing its administrative operations, upgrading its marketing and communications, and working with organizations like Cambridge (WI) Farm to School on capacity building efforts. She also produced a nifty video and put together our fabulous Rural Route road map.

Emily's unique talents will be certainly be missed, but we are pleased she will still be fighting the good fight in support of agricultural principles that sustain and strengthen rural communities.

Thanks for everything, Emily. All the best!
