Carol Silvey is the former Vice President for Advancement for the Ozarks Medical Foundation in West Plains. Prior to that she was the Senior Associate for Advancement with the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.

Carol has served as a great resource and connector for donors and nonprofits in south central Missouri. Much of Carol’s recent work has been to help rural schools establish foundations in order to maintain quality public education through private giving. In addition, she has assisted nonprofits and boards of education in capital campaigns and strategic planning. She also founded the South Central Student Leadership Initiative, a program committed to introducing outstanding rural high school students to her region’s accomplished leaders and professionals, who have made the decision to stay in this predominantly rural area and make a difference in their respective communities.

Carol was a public school teacher, college professor, and development officer for Missouri State University-West Plains. Her entire career has been spent in service to the rural Ozarks. She is currently a member of the Missouri State University board of regents.

Carol has received numerous honors throughout her career, including induction into the Missouri State University Wall of Fame. Carol and her family reside in West Plains.
