Christopher J. Craig is the Associate Provost for Faculty and Academic Affairs and serves as Head of the Education Preparation Provider (EPP) at Missouri State University. Dr. Craig has worked in higher education for over 20 years serving in roles such as the Dean of the School of Education and Child Development at Drury University and various other leadership positions at Missouri State University (MSU) throughout his career.

Dr. Craig’s area of expertise and study is in the field of Special Education and Policy Development impacting children and youth with disabilities. He received his BME from Drury College, an M.Ed. in from Drury College, an Ed.S. in Educational Administration from Missouri State University, and completed his doctoral work at Vanderbilt University in the area of Special Education and Educational Leadership.

Dr. Craig is the author of a number of articles on educating children and youth who are blind and currently serves as the President of the Vision Rehabilitation Center of the Ozarks and serves on the Board of Directors for the ARC and Community Foundation of the Ozarks. Prior to coming to MSU in 1993, Dr. Craig taught special education for 10 years in the Springfield and Nixa Missouri Public Schools.
