Jacqueline Yahn is an Associate Professor of Teacher Education at Ohio University, teaching Regional Higher Education students across five campuses. Yahn serves as the Director for the OHIO Rural Teacher Fellowship, the Faculty Fellow for the OHIO Community Engaged Scholars program, and the Assistant Department Chair for Teacher Education. Her research centers on rural school and community vitality, with a strong focus on the unique challenges and opportunities within the Appalachian region, particularly regarding school funding and education policy. She serves on Building Bridges to Careers Network Steering Committee, the Journal of Appalachian Studies Editorial Board, the Ohio Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (OACTE) Board, and the Whippoorwill Book Award committee. She and her husband, Chris, are proud to raise their son, Liam in the Ohio Valley, surrounded by three generations of their family.
