The Rural Schools Collaborative believes in the power of sharing ideas. We continue to be inspired by the success stories of innovative teacher-leaders, our Grants in Place recipients, and the Rural Teacher Corps, an effort dedicated to the recruitment, preparation, and retention of outstanding rural teacher-leaders.

It is in this spirit that we are honored to announce a new partnership with EdCoup.org and The Vault, the brainchild of Michelle Carlson, Founder and CEO of Future Development Group: Education Reimagined, which is based out of Red Bluff, California. The Vault is a collection of chat rooms for US K-12 teachers and classroom support professionals.

Our partnership with EdCoup.org connects iconoclastic (look it up!) rural teachers from across the nation. The Vault offers two wonderful benefits for rural public school teachers:

  1. It is a free, online community for educators to connect, share, learn and support one another in real-time.
  2. It is a national community of educators creating a movement for change, which brings our shared vision to life--a system where teachers are valued and heard. The Vault supports a teaching community where classroom teachers have the respect, tools and freedom they need to give kids the education they deserve.

It is simple to Join The Vault.

  1. Go to EdCoup.org and sign up for free.
  2. Once there, you can engage with others on the "Rural-Education Channel."
Act. Reflect. Share. Engage. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity!
