Jamie received her Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University in 2008 with a focus on Animal Ecology: Fish Biology. After graduation, Jamie took a position at Monsanto where her roles focused on high throughput genotyping and management of the lab's SNP Marker inventory. In 2016, she relocated to southwest Iowa with her family. In 2018, she started her journey into education, starting off as a substitute teacher and then obtaining her license through the RAPIL program. Currently, Jamie teaches middle school science in Bedford, Iowa.
