The story of Rural Schools Collaborative is truly a story of partnerships. Our organization launched in 2015 with a handful of passionate volunteers, and has since grown into a national network of regional hubs, strategic partners, and cooperative programs. All of this is supported by a small staff.
Fueled by the belief that schools are the backbone of rural places, we’re proud of the strides we’ve made to support rural teacher leaders, give them a voice, and strengthen their communities.
With the help of good partners, a lot of determination, and a little bit of luck, Rural Schools Collaborative recently passed the milestone of $1,000,000 in contributions. We want to take a moment to celebrate all of our donors and supporters who have contributed to this success.
The RSC staff put together this short video in their honor!
A Million Reasons to be Thankful:
When we asked our team to reflect on what a million dollars in contributions means to them, they shared:
“Investment from people like you helped launch the successful I Am a Rural Teacher Campaign alongside NREA and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Our impact has reached far and wide, and we can’t wait to see where it will grow.”
-Liliana Coelho, Assistant Director
“We’re proud to have supported 13 Rural Teacher Corps programs over the past 6 years, and these programs continue to grow thanks to our partners. Your support allows us to directly combat the rural teacher shortage.”
-John Glasgow, Project Lead
We have a million reasons to be thankful, and we couldn’t have reached this milestone without you. Thank you!
