2023-24 Action Plan

Through a keen focus on place, teachers, and philanthropy, RSC’s mission is to build sustainable rural communities. In order to hold our organization accountable and keep us driven towards our mission, action plans have been a long standing initiative taken on by RSC board members since our launch in 2015. The board approved the following action plan for the year, under the leadership of current board chair, Nate McClennen:

2023-24 Action Plan—Approved by the Rural Schools Collaborative Board of Directors during their August 24, 2023 board meeting

• Rural Schools Collaborative will implement the newly adopted development roadmap that includes annual fund goals, program funding priorities, building the reserve/endowment funds, and diversifying revenue streams.
• Rural Schools Collaborative will create a vision and logic model for the future of RSC hubs by fostering partner-to-partner collaborations, exploring shared work, and documenting long-term goals.
• Rural Schools Collaborative will track & share program impact metrics in the following areas:
  • Regional Philanthropy
  • Rural Teacher Corps
  • Teacher Grants
  • Impact of Communication Platforms
• Rural Schools Collaborative will execute year two of the GRAD Partnership for Student Success Project
• Rural Schools Collaborative will develop Professional Development Education Plans for Board & Staff
